SHOULD WE DO AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?

Since you clicked on this post you’re probably wondering if you should have an engagement shoot, if it is worth it. Let me tell you something, as a wedding photographer and having met many couples getting ready for their wedding.

I am a wedding photographer based in Jönköping and I always include a a pre-wedding shoot/engagement shoot and I always prefer to have this shoot with my couples.

  1. IT WILL HELP YOU FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE INFRONT OF THE CAMERA

I mean who am I kidding, there are not a lot of people who are comfortable standing infront of the camera.

With this session you are giving yourselves a chance the get comfortable with a camera following you guys around. It doesn’t really come naturally hey? This is going to make being photographed on your wedding day sooooo much easier! Trust me.

2. YOU WILL GET TO KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER BETTER

This is something I feel strongly about it and I know couples has been incredibly grateful for this session. Getting to know your photographer better gives them a chance to document your wedding day true to you and instead of feeling like a photographer is following you around on your day it will feel like a friend hanging out with you.

You will be able to experience the photographers shooting style - the prompts they use so you will be ready for them on your big day. You’re going to feel like your photographer is more than a stranger when you are with them on your wedding day.

3. YOU GET EXTRA PHOTOS WITHOUT YOUR WEDDING CLOTHES ON - AND YOU CAN USE THESE IMAGES TO PRINT FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY

I mean who doesn’t love having gorgeous couple photos with your fiancé to look back on. This will be more casual than your photos from the wedding… obviously which is so nice to have.

Ontop of that you can use these photos for you wedding pamphlets, invitiations, any other prints for you wedding.

4. YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO HAVE A FUN LITTLE DATE

Who doesn’t love having a little date with your fiancé. We can plan up something fun to do together, a little roadtrip, grab ice cream, go for fika, a picknick…. I mean the list can go on. Don’t be afraid to get a little creative and wild. I am down for anything and everything to make these photos epic and something you will look back on and absolutely LOVE and appreciate you did.
